Infront was founded in 2004 and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Munich-based KPS AG since 2018. Our head office is located in Hamburg directly on Jungfernstieg and is therefore excellently connected.

You are at an advanced stage in your studies and would like to gain insights into everyday consulting work? An internship or a position as a working student at Infront is just right for you!

Intern

You can join us as an intern at various times, ideally towards the end of your Bachelor’s degree or during your Master’s degree. During an internship of at least 12 weeks, we offer you a comprehensive insight into the day-to-day work of a strategy and management consultancy.

Possible tasks may include:

  • Involvement in the development of innovative strategies and creative business models
  • Conducting market analyses and deriving strategic and customer-relevant measures
  • Supporting experienced consultants with challenging business development tasks in growth industries
  • Collaboration in the preparation and creation of workshops and presentations

Working student

As a working student, you will support our teams for approx. 15-20 hours per week. Your main tasks will be similar to those of an intern.

You have successfully completed your Master’s studies and would now like to enter the world of consulting? Apply for a permanent position at Infront.

Associate Consultant

As an Associate Consultant, you will work closely with experienced colleagues and contribute to the successful implementation of our client projects right from the start. Your tasks will include developing innovative strategies and creative business models, deriving differentiating concepts to open up existing and new markets and developing customized solutions for our clients. You will get to know and apply our award-winning Infront consulting methods and gain insights into various industries.

Depending on your learning curve, you will be promoted to Consultant after around 1.5 to 2 years. Right from the start, you will have a mentor at your side who will provide you with advice and support and with whom you can discuss your professional development.

Although we do not require an MBA or doctorate, it is definitely an advantage if you are well versed and educated in certain areas such as digitalisation.

From Senior Consultant level upwards, your role will also include managing project teams and working independently on project workstreams.

Selection process

We not only want to understand how you tackle challenging problems, but also what makes you tick. We will therefore discuss current projects together in the form of case studies and discuss your career to date in detail.

Different interviewees will enable both sides to get to know each other and make a reflective assessment.

For a permanent position, there are two interviews of 60 – 90 minutes each on two days. For internships and working student positions, we limit ourselves to one day with two one-hour interviews.

Decision

After the interviews, we aim to give you constructive feedback as quickly as possible. We coordinate intensively with the interview partners in the team and check all possibilities.

You will receive feedback from us no later than 2 working days after the personal interviews.

No, we are always on the lookout for new colleagues and you can apply at any time.

Yes, we are open to applicants who do not have the typical consultant CV. We welcome diverse personalities who are curious, enjoy independent and structured work and want to work as part of a team to drive forward our clients‘ challenges.

With a lead time of 6-9 months, there is a good chance that we will have free capacity for an internship in the desired period. However, the fast-paced everyday life of a consultant often means that additional student support is required at short notice, so in the past we have often been able to offer internships with a lead time of one month. The best thing to do is to contact us directly and we will check the possibilities for your individual case.
