PD emerged from the originally semi-public ÖPP Deutschland AG in 2016. Until then, it had been primarily involved in advising on partnership models in the infrastructure sector for eight years. The consulting portfolio has been expanded since 2016. In addition, extensive consulting services have been added in the areas of strategy, process optimization, public IT, large-scale project management and innovation in order to make public administration modern and robust for the future.
PD has over 1,000 employees at its offices in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Munich and Nuremberg, of which around 750 are currently consultants. There has been steady and rapid growth in recent years. New public institutions, municipalities and federal states regularly become shareholders of PD. As a result, we have been able to realize many exciting projects in recent times and have also developed many best practices that we can continue to use for new projects.
PD supports its clients in the management of investment consulting, major project management, strategy consulting, organizational consulting, process optimization, procurement procedures, sustainability and many other projects. We do not limit ourselves exclusively to the above-mentioned areas, but always strive to expand our services. The public sector faces many interdisciplinary problems that require cross-departmental concepts. We would like to actively help and shape these.
We cover a broad consulting portfolio on topics such as strategy, administrative modernization, major projects and infrastructure investments. Some examples are Preparation of an „Automated Driving“ strategy paper for the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure | Conception of strategic process management in the federal administration | Implementation of the NRW E-Government Act and digitization of state authorities | Strategy process for IT service providers in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania | Project management of the new building of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Berlin (building construction, strategic consulting) | IT modernization at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus.
