The Technology Transformers.

quattron was founded in 2002 as a spin-off by Arthur D. Little and, after merging with the sister companies on January 1st, 2024, has more than 160 employees at the locations in Aachen, Bad Orb, Bamberg, Berlin, Frankfurt and Leipzig. In the post-pandemic period, the company has created a very modern, cross-location environment for hybrid working as well as numerous benefits for employees. At quattron, consultants can develop both professionally and personally in exciting projects in a familiar working atmosphere with flat hierarchies

As a long-standing “hidden champion” of management consultancies for network infrastructures and “best management consultant” (brandeins), quattron is a multi-award-winning partner for complex challenges in the areas of rail transport, energy and telecommunications networks and offers a comprehensive range of services from strategy through implementation to operational and economic optimization of the use of technologies. The digitalization of rail transport as a contribution to the transport transition and the support of the construction of underground power cables for the transport of wind energy from northern to southern Germany as a contribution to the energy transition are, for example, current key topics at quattron.

With proven technical and methodological expertise based on many years of expertise with railways and infrastructure operators across all functions and technology areas, quattron develops individual problem solutions together with customers and also supports the implementation. The owner-managed company is structured according to the three business areas Technology & Operational Consulting, Software, IT & Digital Data Management and Project Management.

You can start your career at quattron as a Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate. The skills you have learned during your studies and the technical expertise you can apply in our various subject areas are decisive for us. Your employability with us is as varied as our three business areas „Technology & Operational Consulting“, „Software, IT & Digital Data Management“ and „Project Management“.

Technology & Operational Consulting: After completing your Master’s degree, you will take on independent project tasks assigned by us as a Junior Consultant and be integrated into selected consulting teams. We will take into account the skills you acquired during your studies and your area of specialization. During your work as a Junior Consultant, you will specialize in a consulting topic and build up your other general consulting skills along the way.

Software, IT & Digital Data Management: After completing your studies (Bachelor/Master) or comparable professional experience (if you have the necessary skills and programming languages, a completed apprenticeship is also very valuable to us), you can start with us as a Junior Software Developer. You will take responsibility for project and development tasks assigned by us. You will also be integrated into working and project groups and play an active role. As you progress, you will specialize in an IT topic and build up a broad range of developer skills and expertise in the field of railroads.

Project Management: After completing your studies (Bachelor’s/Master’s), you will immediately take on responsibility for sub-projects and/or smaller consulting projects. In some cases, you will already be responsible for the technical management of working students and/or interns. Due to the large number of topics we work on, the areas of responsibility can vary greatly.

Depending on the business area and individual developments, you may receive your first promotion after a short time. Example:

In the „Technology & Operational Consulting“ division, experience has shown that you will be promoted to Consultant after 18 to 24 months if you have been able to actively contribute and develop in depth. In this way, we show you a clear path right from the start and offer you the opportunity to develop with us.

In the „Software, IT & Digital Data Management“ division, you can take the next step in your development as a software developer by assuming responsibility, successfully collaborating and independently and constructively shaping projects and tasks, as well as gaining specialist training and in-depth knowledge of rail operations issues.
