Biography and expertise

After completing his PhD in theoretical physics at RWTH Aachen, Dr Christian Romeike switched to consulting and joined d-fine in 2007. For more than 15 years he supports corporates in implementing technological and quantitative projects, i. a. regarding the management of financial risks, process automation, digitalisation or the development of modern, scalable IT infrastructures. Since 2017 he is partner at d-fine and head of the energy and industrials sector.

Within d-fine’s innovation unit “Quantum” he supports companies from the financial and real economy as well as hardware and software start-ups in making quantum technologies usable. These projects range from “classic” consulting to fundamental research. In this context, d-fine is currently supporting the quantum computing initiative of the German Aerospace Centre in two projects focusing on the improvement of climate models using quantum machine learning and the simulation of water on quantum computers.
