Biography and expertise

Dr. Markus Franke serves as a Partner at M2P's Frankfurt office and leads the industry groups "Airlines" and "Rail.“

Dr. Franke has been involved in the aerospace and aviation sector since 1991 and has worked in strategic consulting since 1995. He initially spent 15 years at international consulting firms, including Roland Berger, BCG, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Oliver Wyman, where he held roles as Associate Partner and Partner with leadership responsibilities in the transportation sector. Following this, he continued to independently advise international clients and projects in aviation and transportation until he joined M2P as a Partner in 2019. His areas of expertise include developing corporate strategies and business models, resource planning and commercial management, as well as innovation management and digitalization.

In addition to his consulting work, Dr. Franke serves as the Regional Manager for North Rhine-Westphalia for the German AI Association. He is also an author and guest lecturer in the field of airline strategy and network management.

Dr. Franke studied aerospace engineering and economics at RWTH Aachen University and completed his Ph.D. in the field of "Space Propulsion."
