Biography and expertise

Dr Moritz Kiese started his career at d-fine in 2009 in the field of Solvency II internal models for insurance companies. Since 2011, he focused on digitalisation and implementation projects at banks, insurance companies, financial supervisors, TSOs and industrial clients.

He supports clients in digitalisation projects of complex business-critical processes as well as in long-term, publicly funded research projects like the first European data trustee (EuroDaT) or the development of innovative ecosystems like Dataland. His expertise spans from ideation, to design, implementation, and operations, creating futureproof, maintainable and useable solutions for his clients right from the very beginning – not only in greenfield approaches but also for historically grown legacy systems. A consistent incremental approach not only minimises the project risk but also increases the acceptance of new solutions by both business and IT departments.

Dr Moritz Kiese completed his PhD in electrical engineering and information technology in 2009 at TU München with a dissertation in the field of network optimisation.
