Biography and expertise

Dr. Rainer Heger is Partner and Director of TMG Consultants GmbH and responsible for the Competence Center Digitalization, Innovation and Processes.

Dr Rainer Heger began his career as a consultant in 1998 at TMG Consultants GmbH in Stuttgart, where he was elected partner in 2011.

Before his time as a consultant, he studied mechanical engineering at the Universities of Stuttgart and Brunel (London). After starting his career as a production management assistant at Kodak AG, he completed his doctorate in 1998 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering, Stuttgart, on the topic of virtual assembly planning.

Today, Dr. Rainer Heger consults clients mainly from the automotive, mechanical & plant engineering and shipbuilding industries. His work focuses on business development, organizational design and transformation.
