Biography and expertise

Tim Romer is Director and Head of the Purchasing Competence Centre at TMG Consultants GmbH.

Since 2021, Tim Romer has been responsible for the direction of procurement within TMG Consultants. His focus includes all procurement topics such as material cost reduction, organisation, digitalisation, sustainability and project & portfolio management. Another focus is in the area of artificial intelligence, especially in the AI-based supplier search.

The industrial engineer gained his industrial experience as global lead buyer in procurement at Audi AG in Ingolstadt from 2014 and at Volkswagen in Beijing from 2016, where he coordinated the procurement of all Audi engines.

In 2019, Tim Romer moved to Porsche Consulting, where as a senior consultant and manager he carried out and managed various projects in procurement, project management, bottleneck management and the end2end implementation of software in the automotive industry.

He consults clients in all industries, especially in the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods sectors.
