How was your application process?
I was contacted on XING by a headhunter who found my profile suitable for AdEx. Actually, I had other plans, but the described position really sounded very fitting, and the environment exciting. So, I quickly had a phone interview with a partner of the company. The good impression I got there was then confirmed in a personal meeting with two other partners. A few days later, I received a contract offer. For content-related questions, both the HR team and my interview partners were always available.
Why did you decide on this job?
I had already gained some experience in the consulting industry. However, I was previously placed in a very large corporation. Ultimately, I wanted to continue consulting but have significantly better development opportunities than before. In the conversations with the partners, it was credibly conveyed to me that this interest is mutual and that great value is placed on individual development opportunities for employees.
What does your typical workday look like?
There isn't really a typical workday. That's what's exciting about the job. When I'm on-site with a client, I primarily complete my project tasks, which can be varied. Besides this work, AdEx also offers the opportunity to get involved internally. For example, there is frequent exchange of experiences among colleagues, regular coordination calls, and internal projects can be advanced.
What is great about your job?
It never gets boring! Besides the varied activities, I especially like the balance between teamwork and independence. Of course, you are part of a larger whole, which is the most important thing. However, the job also offers the opportunity to move very freely in certain parts and to arrange work flexibly.
What challenges does your job bring with it?
As in probably every consultancy: travel activities are unavoidable. You are usually on the road during the week and rarely in your home environment. This is of course very exciting on the one hand and stimulates a certain sense of adventure, but on the other hand, you have to be well organized to not neglect tasks at home. Besides the travel, every new task at the client's is a challenge. Rarely are there contents that one has already done exactly like this before. Every client has their own needs, so every new project is a new challenge again.
What makes your team stand out?
I've been to a team event so far. The chemistry within the team is really unique and not comparable to my previous employer. Here, as a newcomer, I was particularly warmly welcomed, which helps immensely when starting at a new company.
