Jakub took part in our event called #Augenhöhe, a three day recruiting event where he got to know the Berlin office and many Consort:innen. On the last day, he completed three interviews with case studies and received an offer as a Visiting Associate on the same day. He enjoyed his three-month internship so much that he joined as an Associate afterwards.

Why Jakub chose this job
After studying psychology, I knew that I was interested in organizational and HR topics. In the end, however, the people I met during Super Week were the deciding factor for undconsorten.
This is what a typical working day looks like
I typically spend 2-3 days a week with a small team of clients. During the day, I always have internal meetings in which I discuss our approach with colleagues, meetings with clients and longer phases of work on documents, e.g. presentations or analyses.
This is great about the job
The day-to-day work is very varied. I regularly get to know new companies and clients, familiarize myself with new topics and work with other consultants on new teams. As a result, I am always challenged anew, there is no routine and I remain in the "learning zone" and can take on more and more responsibility over time.
These are the challenges of the job
The constantly new tasks and content are also a challenge - because you regularly have to jump in at the deep end and, for example, conduct interviews with senior managers for the first time or moderate your first workshop. In addition, everyday consulting is difficult to plan and you have to adapt flexibly to changes. At the same time, the monthly mentoring by senior consultants and many training sessions provide a strong basis for successfully tackling the challenges.
