Sina's path to becoming an associate at undconsorten

Two weeks after Sina's written application, she received an invitation to the recruiting day. With the help of the coaching call and intensive communication in advance, she knew what to expect and found the day both challenging and interesting.

'We work together as equals and support each other - 'being better together instead of competing against each other' is the motto here. The open feedback culture plays an important part in this.'

Why Sina chose this job

The great learning opportunities and the chance to work on new topics in interdisciplinary teams were what attracted me to a job in consulting. At the same time, I knew that I wanted to work in a smaller consultancy where both the topics and the organizational culture suited me and where a work-life balance was possible. undconsorten combines these aspects very well for me.

This is what a typical working day looks like

There is no such thing as a typical working day, which is why the job is never boring. On office days, I divide up the day to work on client projects and internal issues. As an Associate, I am responsible for operational project work and conduct interviews or prepare documents for presentations, for example. In between, there are face-to-face or virtual team meetings to develop solutions to problems together or to coordinate. We also enjoy lunch breaks with colleagues, which we like to spend in the sunshine by the Isar river in Munich or chatting over a cup of coffee. On days with client appointments, I'm often on the road, for example to hold a workshop on site with a team colleague. I can also work from home on flexible days.

This is great about the job

Definitely the variety of topics, methods and contexts as well as the friendly and exciting colleagues. I also particularly appreciate the dynamic, non-hierarchical environment and the freedom to drive forward my own topics that inspire me.

These are the challenges of the job

The variety of topics and contexts is great, but also challenging, as I have to familiarize myself with different content and manage my time well. A lot has to be done in full weeks and I'm often on the road - so I spend less free time at home, but sometimes I also use it to visit friends in other cities.

What makes our undconsorten team special

My teams at undconsorten consist of many exciting personalities and academic backgrounds (from chemists to philosophers), which enables a diverse perspective on problems and is simply fun. We work together as equals and support each other - "being better together instead of competing against each other" is the motto here. The open feedback culture plays an important part in this.

Why undconsorten is a good fit for Sina
